God, we sit next to a glass of cool water, and we live our lives thirsty and dry. We stand just outside the shade, complain about the heat- when all we need is in front of us. All we need is within our reach, and we ignore it. Sometimes it’s easier to complain than receive what you freely offer us. Help us to take our minds off ourselves, God. Help us to focus on you, and then we will see that you’ve already given us everything we need. Open our eyes to the world around us, and we will see that the missing pieces to our puzzle were right in front of us all along. Complete us, God.
