Did you catch it? “You see this guy staring here back at you? That’s your toughest opponent. Every time you get into the ring, that’s who you’re going against. I believe that in boxing, and I do believe that in life.”

As we say in preacher world, Rocky, “That will preach. That will definitely preach.”

This Sunday, let’s talk about the Battle of Self in our new series, “Battle Ready.”

Not all battles that we fight are against enemies that are seen. In many instances, we battle ourselves, our callings, giant obstacles that seem impossible to overcome, dead circumstances, and even invisible enemies.

Yet, in the midst of the struggle, we have someone who fights for us. In this series, we will look at six different battles found in Scripture. Within each of the struggles, God was present, and there were life-giving lessons to be learned.

Sunday morning, let’s open up the Word to Joshua 5 and see the lessons Joshua needed to learn then and – greater – where there’s application for us when it comes to the battles of self we may be fighting today!

It’s going to be a good one, friends.

I can’t wait to share this Word with you then!
