Friends, I pray this finds each of you well.

Am I the only one in denial that Holy Week has arrived? I can’t believe how quickly the year is moving. I also have to say that I have loved looking at each of these names of God alongside you all over our Lenten journey. How powerful to connect these beautiful names and attributes of God in the Old Testament and see these in the person and ministry of Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you, but I always need these daily reminders that God is providing for me, that He sees me in the midst of my circumstances, that He’s a Shepherd and a Healer, that He’s my Banner that goes before me in battle, and that His peace is always made available in my walk and life.

So, let’s keep walking, shall we?

Tonight we have a special Maundy Thursday service in the Sanctuary beginning at 7:30 p.m. It will be a powerful night where all pastors come together and join the choir and orchestra for a reading of Scripture as we walk through the Holy Week story. It’s a powerful night of scripture, communion, and song. I love these moments where the entire church body comes together.

Tomorrow, we will have a special Harvest Good Friday service beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Harvest Worship Center. I’ll be preaching on one more name of God, Yahweh Shammah, the Lord is There. We’ll look at a moment captured in Mark’s gospel where we see Jesus praying in the garden and find that, even in the midst of sorrow and anguish, God is there in remarkable and relevant ways. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this Good Friday service. And then? It’s Easter Sunday! We have four services this year: 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and our 5:30 p.m. service which will be the same as the morning services. Heads up. 9:30 and 11:00 am are the most popular services. For those early risers, 8:00 am is an EXCELLENT choice! And, for those late risers, no shame in celebrating the risen Lord at 5:30 pm either;)

Now’s the time to reach out and invite someone to the Easter Sunday services. I promise. If you bring them, we’ll make sure they have a seat and, I promise. They will hear the greatest story ever told.

Deep breaths. We have an incredible weekend of worship ahead.
