I thought that, for this week’s blog update, I would share a much more detailed list of the different “one another” passages you find in the New Testament. As I shared in last week’s message on “The Joy in Humility” found in Philippians 2:1-11, the best way to combat pride is looking beyond yourself and having the same mind in Christ Jesus. It’s exactly in this place that Paul was speaking from to the church of Philippi in Philippians 2. There was disunity in the church body and Paul called them to work beyond the disunity and seek out oneness found in Jesus. This is where the one-another passages find us today.
Did you know that in the New Testament, you find over 100 different references to how we’re called to live alongside one another? And of the 100 one-another’s in Scripture, you find 59 unique instructions on how we’re called to live and love alongside each other.
Take some time today to read through these. Slowly. And then? Let’s move from reading them to living them out. In Jesus’ name. 😉
