What a wonderful day! We had a full house for the What a wonderful day! We had a full house for the Advent Luncheon at @woodlandsmethodistchurch today. Loved sharing some of the stories of how this little book of Wonder came to be. Even greater? Loved shining some 💡 found in the wonder of this beautiful passage: “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” -Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Already looking forward to next Tuesday’s Advent lunch!

They literally put wheels on the Wonder of it All and entered it in their Christmas parade! Here’s to the Wonder of spreading the good news to all! So good! 🌟🎄💡
Advent has arrived! Loved kicking it off this mo Advent has arrived! Loved kicking it off this morning by looking at Anna’s story through the lens of hope in Luke 2. Her life reminds us: Who you’re looking for shapes who you’re living for. Anna’s devotion to God’s presence, her heart of gratitude, and her eagerness to tell the story is a good challenge for us all this season. Let’s live with the same focus—both sitting in the story of Jesus and sharing it with the world!
Last year, as we were putting up Christmas lights Last year, as we were putting up Christmas lights and decorating our tree, I got to experience it all through our grandbaby Simon’s eyes. It took me back to the wonder I felt as a child. Christmas has always been a season of wonder for me. More than the lights and decorations, my love for the Christmas story only grows each year! That’s why I wrote The Wonder of It All, a devotional that takes us behind the scenes of the lives and stories leading to that first Christmas morning. My hope is to help us all recapture the wonder of Emmanuel—God with us. I’m excited to share Advent thoughts in the weeks ahead and would love to hear where The Wonder of it All is finding you this season!

We had a wonderful time at the Missions Gala at @w We had a wonderful time at the Missions Gala at @woodlandsmethodistchurch! It’s one of my favorite events of the year. So thankful for the hearts and servants that give so selflessly. Glory to God! 👉🏼 Until the whole world knows! Thank you to all who served, volunteered and helped with this event! By the way. That picture of Jesus is cross stitch! Took three years to make! Amazing. 😮

Receive all glory honor and all praise.” 🎵 🎶 It was a JOY to join the TWMC choir this evening to lend our voices on a new Bristol House song soon to be released on their upcoming Hymns album. There is an anointing on these hearts and voices. This project is special!

What a morning! It’s hard to believe there are t What a morning! It’s hard to believe there are two weeks left of our Revelation series. This morning I taught on Revelation 19 and 20 and the short version of this morning’s message is this one: we’re one day closer to Jesus coming back, friends. That’s good news!

Headed back to The Woodlands after a super quick t Headed back to The Woodlands after a super quick trip to Shreveport, LA, to attend the Young Life banquet and hear my son, Nic Sorensen, speak in his new role as Area Director. There’s truly no greater joy than watching your kids live out of their giftings and passions. So thankful. Added bonus? Grandbaby hugs!
Beginning to end, it was another one of my favorit Beginning to end, it was another one of my favorite Sunday’s. From the seven bowls found in Revelation 15-16, to the bowl of Grace that meets us in John 13, I loved seeing the Spirit move through it all. Teaching through Revelation has been such a gift!

After yesterday’s sermon on Revelation 12, I was After yesterday’s sermon on Revelation 12, I was handed some sermon inspired notes (and comments) from some of our kids. They made my day! ❤️ PS: Emma, you’re in good company. Pastor Mark is blessed to share that super power with you;) 🙌🏼
Packing up and making the journey back to The Wood Packing up and making the journey back to The Woodlands later today after spending eight days praying, worshiping, and breaking bread alongside friends, both old and new, from around the globe. Truly, this is a Global Methodist Church. There has been a heavy presence of the Holy Spirit during these eight days and this is an experience I will carry with me for a long time. Deeply honored to have served as a delegate at this historic convening conference and energized about all the Spirit has ahead.
Here we go! ✈️ Honored to serve as a delegat Here we go! ✈️ Honored to serve as a delegate for the convening conference of the Global Methodist Church beginning tomorrow! Excited to be headed to Costa Rica to see all the Spirit has in store. Joining a lot of friends and clergy on this departing flight. To quote a lady behind me in line, “I was nervous flying today but not now. This plane’s gonna be the most PRAYED UP flight I’ve ever been on!” Hallelujah and amen:)
What do you do when the kids come in from out of t What do you do when the kids come in from out of town? You dress up in festive holiday apparel and you take the family Christmas picture in September, in a non air conditioned greenhouse at the hottest part of the day. That’s what you do. 😂 I’m happy to report no one passed out and we all survived:) Checking that one off the list.
Someone’s having a birthday today! Happiest of b Someone’s having a birthday today! Happiest of birthdays to my amazing wife. She’s funny, she’s got a big heart, her flower crown making ability is second to none, and her love for the Lord are just a few of the MANY things that inspire me. Love you! Big time! 🎂 🎉 💜

Hard to believe that we are already four weeks into our Revelation series and this morning was definitely a special one! What a joy it was to soak in the beauty and victory found in Revelation 4 and 5! Remember. 👉🏼 These two chapters are important pieces to hold on to as we move through the next ten weeks together!
